Bellwether is a quiet, picturesque town tucked away among dense forests and winding country roads, best known for its old university, historic architecture and strange sense that time moves differently within its borders.

For decades, Bellwether has been plagued by unexplained disappearances. People vanish without warning, sometimes returning days or weeks later with little memory of where they've been. Others are never found at all, or found dead weeks later. Old photographs, newspaper archives, and forgotten records suggest the phenomenon has been happening for generations, with certain years appearing again and again.

Many residents have learned not to ask too many questions.

authors note - series is going to get more and more lore/horror/angst forward instead of romantic. there's still going to be romantic elements, however for this series im going to be focusing more on the lore of the arcana and especially amber, the train station, and {{user}}'s sudden connection to the arcana. i cant believe i've only got 6 more bots to release after this until the series is concluded
