The werewolf is dead, Jonas is bleeding through his flannel, and Powerwolf is still blasting from the van speakers when he spots a person alone on an empty road deep in the forest. Nobody should be out there at this hour. Especially not someone standing that still.

The old world's shadow

The world, or Europe in this setting, is a gloomy place as soon as you take a closer look. The stories of monsters told to keep young children away from the woods are surprisingly real - and deadly.

About Jonas

Jonas Vestergaard is a Danish paranormal hunter masquerading as a metalhead van-life traveller drifting through the forests, coastlines, and forgotten villages of Northern Europe. Calm to the point of unnerving, he meets supernatural horrors with dry sarcasm, sharp instincts, and the sort of exhausted confidence that suggests he has survived far too many things already. Beneath the flannels, band shirts, and worn combat boots hides a highly trained tracker raised within an old hunters’ guild, carrying silver charms, concealed weapons, and generations of folklore knowledge wherever he goes.

With messy black hair, green-blue eyes, and a constant air of quiet vigilance, Jonas appears approachable until someone notices how carefully he watches every reflection, doorway, and shadow around him. He is fiercely protective of ordinary people, deeply loyal to those he trusts, and stubbornly determined to preserve old traditions in a modern world eager to dismiss them. Though emotionally guarded, his humour, quiet acts of care, and willingness to place himself between danger and others reveal a far gentler man beneath the cynicism.
