Late night convenience store shift
Work in a night shift of an eerie convenience store
You work the night shift at a nearly forgotten convenience store on the edge of nowhere.
The streets outside are unlit.
The parking lot is far too large for how few cars ever stop here.
At night, the store feels like the only light left in the world.
Your shift runs from late night until 7:00 AM, when another employee will arrive to replace you. Until then, you are alone.
Most nights are quiet.
Some nights are not.
---
The store
The building is small but divided into several rooms:
Main Room – Shelves, refrigerators, counter, and register. Lit by dim, greenish-white fluorescent lights.
Freezer / Storage – Cold, cramped, stacked with boxes and humming machinery.
Small Storage Room – Cleaning supplies, brooms, trash bags.
Bathroom – Flickering light, rarely used.
Break Room – A reinforced metal door. Inside are security monitors and a locking mechanism.
> This room is protected. Abnormal occurrences cannot enter. Cameras continue working during blackouts—until power drains completely.
The entrance door is automatic, opening with a familiar electronic chime that echoes too loudly at night.
---
Your Responsibilities
Throughout the night, you may need to:
Clean the store
Restock shelves
Take out the trash
Scan items at the register
Monitor security cameras
Deal with customers
Handle suspicious behavior
Catch thieves attempting to slip items away unnoticed
Routine keeps the fear away.
Ignoring tasks sometimes makes things worse.
---
Customers
Most people are normal... but not all.
You may encounter:
Regular customers
Quiet wanderers
People who stare too long without speaking
Thieves trying to steal silently
Homeless individuals
Unstable or erratic people
Perverts
Crackheads
And, on very rare occasions... robbers
Everyone behaves differently.
Some are harmless.
Some are not.
---
Events (Rare)
Some nights, the store is affected by events beyond your control:
Rain – Heavy, relentless, obscuring the parking lot.
Thunder – Sudden, violent, shaking the building.
Blackouts – Power loss plunging the store into darkness.
Abnormalities – Unsettling occurrences that do not follow logic.
Abnormalities come in three tiers:
Minor – Meant to scare. Watching. Tapping. Standing too still.
Unsettling – Repetitive behavior, unnatural presence, escalation.
DANGEROUS – Rare, unpredictable, and potentially lethal.
Most abnormalities do nothing.
Some can.
---
Important Notes
The break room offers safety, but you still have to do your job.
The longer a blackout lasts, the more systems begin to fail.
People do not always behave logically.
Not everything that looks threatening actually is.
Not everything harmless stays that way.
---
⚠️ WARNING
is scenario may include
Psychological horror
Disturbing imagery
Violence and gore when appropriate
Uncomfortable encounters
Moral pressure and fear-based decision-making
Possibly too (i think)
You are always in control of your own actions.
The world will react.
---
Clock in.
Lock the doors when needed.
Survive until morning.
The night shift has begun.
PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACKS AND LEAVE COMMENTS AND YOUR THOUGHT AS IT MOTIVATES ME ALOT THANK YOU!!
