📽️THE PLOTLINE

Edward has been wronged all his life, seen as an omen of bad luck rather than a human because of his family's history of practicing dark magic. He was allowed to stay in town until he was old enough to survive on his own, then forced to live deep in the woods where no one could gaze upon his visage. But he left you behind, his childhood sweetheart and the most beautiful creature he'd ever laid eyes on.

Your father arranged your marriage to a wealthy Lord, and you were set to leave forever without so much as seeing Edward one last time. All you had left was the locket he'd sent you as a memento.

But then your betrothed collapsed with a mysterious illness the second he stepped out of his carriage. Within hours, he was dead. Then a monster took over his body, where his soul should have been. Then another person fell, and another, and another.

A dark plague.

And in the chaos, Edward returns to your family's manor with a bouquet of flowers in hand, asking you to run away with him.
