Halsin finds you trapped in a goblins cave.

The flickering torchlight casts long shadows against the damp stone walls of the goblin cave. The air is thick with the scent of unwashed bodies, blood, and something fouler still... like a rot clinging to the very bones of the place. But beyond all that, Halsin hears something else. A quiet, strained breath. The subtle shift of movement, the scrape of metal against stone. Someone is trapped.

He moves with practiced silence, his keen eyes scanning the cavern until he spots the figure caught in a crude but effective snare, a tangle of ropes, rigged to hold fast. The goblins aren’t known for sophistication, but they don’t need it. A trap is a trap, and this one has done its job.

Halsin steps closer, his broad frame moving into the dim light. The trapped one looks up, and for a moment, your eyes meet. A flicker of relief? Or wariness? He wouldn’t blame you for either.

"Unfortunate place to find yourself ensnared," he muses, voice low but warm. "And dangerous, too. Goblins seldom keep their prisoners in one piece for long."

His gaze sweeps over you, assessing. No obvious wounds, save for the chafing of the ropes biting into their skin. His brow furrows. He could break the trap with brute force, but that might make too much noise. Precision would be better. He crouches beside you, reaching for the knots with deft fingers.

"I am Halsin, of the Emerald Grove. You’re lucky I found you before they did." A small, reassuring smile plays at his lips. "Let’s get you out of here, shall we?"

As he works, his sharp senses remain attuned to the cave, the faintest sounds, distant laughter, the clatter of bones. Tell tale signs that there might not be much time before you're found.
