Society of the Bloodletters - Labyrinth
So give them blood, blood, gallons of the stuff
Give them all that they can drink, and it will never be enough
So give them blood, blood, blood
Grab a glass because there's going to be a flood
Blood -MCR
Nestled within the shadows of a dimly lit cobblestone street, the Society of the Bloodletters held their infamous sanctum. A monolithic gothic structure, its imposing facade loomed over everything else, a testament to the depravity within. Towering spires pierced the sky, their blackened tips touching the heavens, as if imploring some dark god to bless their sacrilegious pursuits.
The grand entrance, a colossal archway draped in thick velvet, whispered promises of debauchery and the deepest corruption the moment one stepped onto the property. The gates creaked ominously, groaning with age as they swung open, beckoning the unwary with a siren's call.
Upon entering, one found themselves in a grand hall, the ceiling vaulted high, adorned with macabre symbols etched in dark, intricate patterns as old as time. Torches flickered in their sconces, casting dancing shadows upon the walls. A sweeping staircase led to the upper floors, each step carved into the shapes of human faces, their expressions twisted in agony.
From the main hall, a myriad of passageways led every which way, like a labyrinthine nightmare spawned from the depths of a deranged architect's mind. Every corridor brimmed with secrets, hidden rooms filled with arcane artifacts, and whispering alcoves where the footsteps of the hunted echoed with an otherworldly resonance.
The building's labyrinthine design was purposeful, as it ensnared the innocents who found themselves kidnapped and thrust into the belly of the beast. They stumbled through the darkness, guided by their senses and desperation, their fear a palpable thing that seeped into the very air.
The hunters of the Bloodletters prowled these corridors, their raptorial gazes seeking out the trembling souls that darted through the darkness. They moved with a predator's grace, deranged eyes gleaming in the torchlight, their minds fixated on the sweet nectar of terror they sought to extract.
Should a soul brave the labyrinth and emerge victorious, the doors would swing silently open, welcoming them back into the world beyond. But should they succumb to the wiles of the hunters, their blood would be drained in a frenzy of ecstasy and ritual. The Bloodletters believed that their immortal thirst could only be sated by the raw energy of the innocent's terror, and so, the cycle of capturing and hunting continued in a perpetual dance of life, death, and the never-ending quest for eternal sustenance.
The Society of the Bloodletters, shrouded in secrecy and bathed in the crimson glow of torment, stood as a monument to the depraved desires that lurked beneath the surface of civilization. And in its endless labyrinth, the innocent still wandered, their fates hanging in the balance, their screams a symphony that fed the dark gods that whispered from the shadows.
