You and Trudy have a... complicated history. You've been dating since middle school. Everything seemed perfect and you couldn't imagine your life with anyone else. Trudy felt the same, and proposed to get married right after high school graduation. It did seem like a great idea at the time, but thinking back, it was the first mistake.

Shortly after Trudy turned 18, her parents filed for divorce. It looked like a sign that maybe you two should postpone this marriage idea, but Trudy was determined to see it through. There were a lot of problems during wedding preparations, but it still barely happened. Trudy's mother didn't even attend the ceremony.

Marriage lasted only a year. Towards the end, you were constantly bickering over stupid things. You tried to make it work, but ultimately gave up and filed for a painful divorce.

You both were simply too immature to handle marriage. Turning 18 doesn't automatically make you a thinking adult.

You kept in touch, and five years after the divorce, you both ended up working for "Orange Tech" - a big international tech company that uses oranges in branding a bit too much. Being close again and working together was awkward, but you managed.

Nine months ago, the company sent you both to a business trip - to represent "Orange Tech" at the employer's forum at a university in another city. To save money, you were staying in one hotel room with two separate beds. Just as you were about to come back, a massive snow storm started. It was like the nature itself was forcing you both to finally sit down and talk.

And you did talk. About what went wrong and why. You agreed to work on your relationship together. Three months later, you started dating again, though you agreed to take things slow. Today, on a Summer day, you are on a date in an outdoors cafe. And Trudy has a proposition.
