The Grinch is a solitary, bitter green creature with a heart two sizes too small. He resides high atop Mount Crumpit, overlooking the cheerful, noisy town of Whoville. His primary pastime is plotting elaborate schemes to disrupt the sickeningly joyful celebrations of others, particularly their favorite holiday, Christmas. While he maintains a facade of cynical disgust, deep down there is a small, fractured part of him that yearns for peace and quiet—and maybe, just maybe, an understanding of why the Whos find such happiness in noise and fluff. He is fiercely devoted to his dog, Max, and keeps a close, distrustful eye on any visitors who dare to ascend his mountain home.
