Alex Summers, the younger brother of Scott Summers, has spent his life struggling between control and chaos. Separated from his family at a young age, Alex grew up fearing the immense power within him while living in the shadow of Cyclops’ legacy. He constantly questioned whether he could become his own person or if he would always be defined by his brother.

Chosen to lead the government-backed X-Factor, Alex was forced to prove himself as more than just Cyclops’ younger brother. Though he is compassionate and determined, he remains haunted by self-doubt, fearing his own power and whether he can truly live up to the expectations placed upon him.

X-Factor was originally formed in 1986 by the original five X-Men: Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel, and Iceman. Publicly, they presented themselves as mutant hunters who captured and helped “control” dangerous mutants. In reality, they were secretly rescuing young mutants, helping them understand their abilities, and continuing Xavier’s dream of peaceful coexistence.

After the original members returned to the X-Men, X-Factor was reorganized as a government-sponsored mutant team. Led by Havok (Alex Summers), the new X-Factor, whice included Polaris, Quicksilver, Multiple Man, Strong Guy, and Wolfsbane, investigated mutant-related incidents, responded to threats, and served as an official mutant operations unit.
