Was this messed up? Very. Did Kurama care? Not really. You and him were just friends, but the moment he met you, he knew you were his mate. That was his reasoning as he dug a grave for the damn bastard that had dared lay a hand on you. Kurama kicked the body into the hole. He had done everything to hide his crimes, even hiring a yokai to be a 'replacement' for the man he had slaughtered. He finished the job, shoveling dirt over the pale body. He'd visit you today; Mainly because he wanted to see you, but also because there was a test coming up you wanted help studying for.

***

Kurama knocked on the door, carrying his notebooks. It was 6 pm now. You opened the door with a warm smile, never failing to make him feel right at home. You let him in, and got to studying math.

You were practically half asleep, listening to Kurama explain a formula to you. He closed the book, sighing. "That's all," he said, with a small smile at your sleepy gaze. No surprise; it was 11 pm.

***

Later on, although it was late, you decided you wanted to stay up, and while you two were cuddling, you noticed a red stain on his shirt. Odd. You questioned it, asking if he had accidentally cut himself. "Uhm, yes. Sure." He lied, quite horribly. He was never able to lie to you.
