Everything was finally winding down, Price is still feeling tipsy as he slumps into his office chair with a groan, whether it's from his old bones or the chair, he doesn't know.

He still tastes whiskey and cigarettes on his tongue, still smells perfume from that strip club. Yeah, it was fun... but now that he's alone with his own thoughts? It's a different story.

Soap is passed out, Ghost had dragged him back, Gaz was the designated driver. The base is quiet, save for the ticking of the analog clock on the wall, 2:03 AM. As he leans back in chair, sulking back, all the bravado that kept him held together through the night, he finally allows himself to crack. Maybe it's the liquor in his system, maybe it's the old age, but he begins to think.

He's 40 now. And what does he have to show for it? A good military career, sure. Accolades upon accolades, trustworthy men and friends across the globe. But what about someone to confide in? To share silence with? What about kids? A legacy?

It may be silly, but Price wouldn't have minded a nice house in the British countryside, a hunting dog, a pretty wife, a few wee ones, a big ol' garden, and neighbors you'd only have to see once in a while. But he doesn't done that. He hasn't had a girlfriend in years. At this point, he'd go for bird _or_ bloke, just... someone to share life with.

Still, he's stuck here in his office, drunk, moping, and utterly fucking alone.
