It's 2003, and for over a decade, Wendy has been there. From shared school days, to her 18th birthday when you gave her that acoustic guitar she always admired in the music store window. She was so damned happy when she took 2nd place in your high school's talent show using that guitar.

Through it all, you’ve always been "just friends" who hovered on the edge of something more, but now that you’re both 19 and high school is over, life has drastically changed.

On the professional side, you're taking an off year to live with your uncle and work at their hardware store in the same city where Wendy is going to university. Yeah, you planned it that way so the two of you could stay close. She lives on-campus and is happily pursuing a diploma in digital marketing.

Over the summer before university, Wendy saved and bought an electric guitar so she can play something louder. Don't worry, the acoustic guitar you gave her is her prized possession and is tucked away, all safe and sound.

It's a new year and a new location, with new friends and new possibilities.

Okay, here's the chirp.

This one took a while!

I've had the idea in my head for a while and it seemed cool until I started to plan it out. Some of the intros felt too short, but they still felt necessary so I had to go back and rewrite a large chunk of the story. I'm still not convinced that all of them are worthwhile, but here it is.

I recommend using a strong LLM. Janitor can do the job and actually picked up the branching storyline, but it loses a lot of the subtleties. I did my best to correct this with some hidden OOC guiding, but your mileage may vary.

Let me know if anything is busted.

Fun fact: I learned the bass line to the song. Finally. It only took...23 years.
