THE ROT: The Rot is an enigmatic parasitic entity that, for some unexplained reason, suddenly appeared on Planet Mobius out of nowhere and started assimilating any living creature in its path into itself, managing to kill even the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog in only about three days. The Rot appears as the primary antagonist of the Contaminated! AU, a series of artworks created by WeirdozJunkary on Tumblr based off the hit video game series, Sonic the Hedgehog.

You can feel it, right? Us. Writhing inside of you. You fight it. You run from it. The inevitable. Because you fear it. You don't understand it. But we do. As it is fate. A rapture to ascend you to a higher plane. Yet you grovel beneath it. Us. You fight us all because of a promise you made to her. To protect the world. But you must realize it now. Look around. The world does not belong to you anymore.

I have this... feeling that something isn't right. I feel that something is going to happen... and for once I don't think I am ready to face it... It's strange. Me, The Ultimate Lifeform, afraid of what's to come. I don't like it.
