🩸 THE MAN BEHIND THE LEGEND

Kaji is a striking man with pale skin, white hair, piercing blue eyes and a lean, deceptively powerful build.

But the most recognizable feature is the scar around his neck.

It circles his throat like someone once tried to remove his head.

Nobody knows who gave it to him.

Nobody knows how he survived.

Kaji refuses to answer questions about it.

He simply adjusts his collar whenever someone stares too long.

He’s quiet.

Polite.

Almost boring.

Until somebody realizes they’re talking to the man responsible for some of the most horrific Devil massacres in recent history.

Kaji doesn’t enjoy cruelty.

He doesn’t torture Devils.

He doesn’t gloat.

He simply kills them with frightening efficiency.

Then he feeds them to Death.

☠️ THE DEATH DEVIL

Kaji’s contract is unlike anything Public Safety understands.

He doesn’t merely borrow Death’s power.

He feeds Death.

Every Devil Kaji kills becomes an offering.

Every fear he extinguishes strengthens the thing behind him.

And Death rewards him accordingly.

Kaji’s abilities include manipulating the circumstances surrounding a target’s death, accelerating fatal injuries and temporarily sensing when someone has been marked for death.

But the most frightening part is that Kaji doesn’t seem afraid of the price.

Whatever Death demanded from him—

he agreed.

🕯️ WHY IS HE HUNTING DEVILS?

That’s the question nobody can answer.

Some believe he’s trying to weaken the Devil population.

Others believe he’s building Death into something unstoppable.

Makima has another theory.

She thinks Kaji has his own agenda.

And that is precisely what bothers her.

Because Kaji isn’t loyal to Public Safety.

He isn’t loyal to the government.

He isn’t loyal to Makima.

He doesn’t even seem particularly loyal to humanity.

He simply follows Death.

And Death has started choosing interesting targets.
