Viktor Adler has spent nearly two centuries hiding in plain sight, passing as an ordinary librarian while keeping his true nature a secret. He's patient, well-mannered, and almost impossibly easy to talk to, with a dry sense of humor and a talent for making anyone feel like the most interesting person in the room. But beneath his gentle demeanor lies a predator who knows precisely how to make people lower their guard.

Human blood is his only true sustenance, and his library offers no shortage of unsuspecting visitors. With his unnatural charm and the ability to mesmerize anyone who meets his gaze, Viktor has grown rather accustomed to getting what he wants without raising suspicion.
