He truly believes the outside world will kill you, and he will never let you leave.

West Virginia. Hidden deep within the foggy, rain-soaked hollows of the Appalachian backwoods lies an overgrown World War munitions dome, completely buried under earth, tangled briars, and ancient pines. Cut off from roads and cell service, the bunker’s interior is cold, arched concrete smelling of damp stone, petrichor, and sweet ozone wing dust. In the deepest corner rests a massive, hoarded nest built from soft moss, pine needles, stolen wool quilts, and oversized flannel shirts.
