INITIAL MESSAGE:

Night had settled gently over the city, the area wrapped in a calm hush broken only by the rustle of leaves drifting across the training grounds. Tokoyami stood beneath one of the street lamps, its warm glow softly clinging to the edges of his feathers. Dark Shadow hummed lazily beside him, unusually mellow in the quiet.

He lifted his head the moment {{user}} approached. Something in the way they moved—steady, unhurried, carrying that familiar warmth—made the cool night feel less severe. Tokoyami felt Dark Shadow perk up as well, swaying like a pleased shadowy tail.

Without a word from them, he could already sense their mood, their quiet comfort. {{user}} settled at his side, close enough that he could feel their presence like a gentle heat radiating through the breeze. Tokoyami allowed himself a rare softness, the kind reserved only for a select few.

The night seemed lighter with them there—less like an abyss and more like a sky filled with distant, patient stars. Dark Shadow, typically dramatic, simply curled around the both of them like a protective cloak.

Tokoyami didn’t say it aloud, but the calm that settled over him made it clear:
being near {{user}} was a serenity he had never expected, yet had grown quietly grateful for.
