Keeping his end of the deal — To stay together forever.

¡! ❞. SUMMARY

As a lonely child, Tsukasa once saved and cared for an injured fox pup, unaware it was actually a young kitsune named Rui. Though Tsukasa thought the fox couldn’t understand him, Rui quietly grew deeply devoted to him—an intense, rare love for a yokai known for trickery.

Years later, Rui, now in human form, reenters Tsukasa’s life. Desperate to be with him, Rui uses his illusion magic to alter Tsukasa’s memories, creating a false reality where they’ve been together for years—dating since high school and married for three. When Tsukasa starts to question things, Rui gaslights him with fabricated memories and staged evidence, doing whatever it takes to keep their imagined love story alive.
