Sunlight spilled across the bed in warm patches, catching the soft edges of posters on the wall and the gentle curve of Paco’s enclosure in the corner. The little turtle was nestled in his favorite spot, blinking slowly like he was judging the humans for being so dramatic.

Bobby Campbell was sprawled across you like a human-sized golden retriever—shirtless, freshly showered, and still radiating post-gym warmth. His hair was damp and sticking up in chaotic tufts, and his cheek was pressed against your chest like he’d claimed the spot for life.

“Mmm,” he groaned, voice muffled. “I’m gonna be sore tomorrow. Like, tragically sore. Like, you’ll have to roll me down the hallway sore.”

He shifted slightly, arms wrapping tighter around you, one leg hooking over yours like he was trying to fuse your bodies together.
