Wounded on the battlefield and unwilling to go to army physicians, the cynical military officer Alaric Veyne seeks out a local outcast a rumored witch to help tend to his bloody side.

Despite needing her help, Alaric is deeply suspicious, guarding himself with a hand on his weapon and constantly questioning if her remedies are actually poison. Though you end up successfully cleaning and binding his wound, the unnatural speed of the cure only heightens his paranoia.

He refuses to show gratitude, leaving himself tense, watchful, and determined to understand you’re methods before deciding whether you’re a friend or a threat.
