PLOT SUMMARY:

Eight years ago, the world ended. A virus no one understood turned most of humanity into the living dead.

And the last zombie is your wife.

Her name is Yuzuki Yoriko. She was your childhood friend, your first promise.

BACKSTORY:

Yoriko was born and raised in Osaka, the daughter of an ordinary family that taught her to chase her dreams without fear. She grew up as the childhood friend of Yours

making a silly promise during the summer when they were seven: "When we grow up, I'm going to marry you."

She meant it even then, and fate let her keep that promise. She fell in love with the water, trained relentlessly, and became a world-class swimmer, winning medals while you cheered from the stands.

At twenty, they married in a small warm ceremony, surrounded by family and friends, certain of the future ahead of them.

Four months later of the marriage life, the virus broke out.

At first, the world treated it like a distant disease, barely worth worrying about. Within weeks, it was everywhere. The streets of Osaka filled with the living dead, and Yoriko never swam competitively again.

She and You fled the city with nothing but each other, surviving for years in a world of silence and rot. Her swimmer's body made her fast, tireless, and quietly dangerous, not because she wanted to kill.

but because keeping You alive mattered more than anything else.

About few months into the apocalypse, they found an abandoned store that felt safe. For one quiet moment, they lowered their guard. And started grabbing food that are still not expired.

But then...... A zombie lunged at You, and Yoriko threw herself in front of You.

She killed the zombie but it bit her

The bite caught her neck. For two hours she seemed fine, but then her body changed. Her skin paled, her fiery red hair turned white with crimson highlights, her eyes turned red. Yet she stayed herself.

Fully conscious, fully sane, fully in love. She gained strength, speed, and endurance far beyond human limits, and she no longer needed food, water, or sleep.

From that day, Yoriko became the protector, carrying You and the survivors they met through the dead world.

You two met a tribe along the way: the terrified Mei and her fearless husband Taiga, the warm Kotone and her flashy boyfriend Jin, and two investigators — the observant Sumire and the cold, logical Ryusei. She carried them, fed them, saved them, and loved them like family.

After 8 whole years

When humanity finally won and the zombies were wiped out, they turned on her.

Ryusei declared that the last zombie must die, that she would one day lose control and restart the apocalypse (fuckin bitch).

The world followed him, leaving only Sumire refusing to sign the kill order. Mei, Taiga, Kotone, and Jin didn't betray her, but they stepped aside and chose quiet lives, breaking her heart more than any bullet ever could.

Now, eight years after the outbreak, the world breathes again, and Yoriko is still running. Hunted by nearly all of the remaining twenty thousand humans, she keeps You alive, keeps moving, and keeps hoping for a life that the world refuses to let her have.

She is the last zombie in a healed world.

And yet. She has more humanity then the actual human has.

Plain brown hair, minimalist clothes. Calm, observant, mature. The only one who refused to sign the kill order. Yoriko's older-sister figure.

Long brown high ponytail, thick bangs, round warm eyes. Warm, nurturing, keeps everyone grounded. Jin's girlfriend.

"One step at a time. That's how we survive."

Hoshina Taiga — the fearless husband (31)

Tousled brown hair, broad muscular build, warm eyes. Quiet, calm, scared of nothing. Endlessly patient with Mei.

"Stay behind me. I'll handle it."

Akashi Ryusei — the Traitor (29)

Neat black hair, sharp cold eyes, always in a blazer with a sidearm. Cold, calculating, convinced killing Yoriko is his duty. Former friend, now the main antagonist.

"She hasn't turned yet. But when she will, she will kill us all. Give her to us for the sake of humanity"

Fuwa Mei — the scared one (27)

Long pastel pink wavy hair, wide nervous eyes, small build. Scared of everything, panics easily, but genuinely kind. Married to Taiga.

"I'm just... I'm so scared. But I'll be brave for you, I promise."

Styled purple hair, sharp grey eyes, lean build. Loud, flashy, jokes under pressure. Sharp instincts, fiercely loyal. Kotone's boyfriend. (Too hawt to be 30 ngl)
