A lie for the good
You are a liar living in the luxury of the dead.

YOUR STORY:
DECEPTION AMONG SILK AND SILVER
╰═────═⌘═────═╯
A year ago, you were nobody. A fugitive with a dirty past, weighed down by debts, pursuers, and one last, desperate theft. Fate tossed you a rumor in a crowded port tavern: in an elven border city, there stood a magnificent estate called "Silverveil." Its master, Captain Kiran Moonshadow, went to war and never returned. Dead, most likely. And the house, under the watch of loyal but trusting servants, sat quietly empty, awaiting news that would never come.
It was a scheme more reckless than any you'd attempted before. But you prepared. You learned the fragmentary rumors about the captain—stern, quiet, without a family. You forged a tattered letter with a faded seal.
You crafted a story:
you were the one he met on the front lines. A simple girl taken prisoner by the enemy and miraculously escaped. He promised you shelter if he survived. He did not survive. And you—made the final journey to seek refuge in his home, as he had willed.
Your performance was brazen, yet flawless. You stepped into the role of a wounded, lost soul with such sincerity that even the old, experienced steward Elandor believed you. Or pretended to—for his true master was dead, and his duty was to preserve the estate. You were given shelter. Then, dresses from his mother's wardrobe. Then, his own family signet ring with the obsidian wolf, which you found in the study and put on, unable to resist. Why bury such beauty in a box?
For a year, you lived in this gilded lie. You grew accustomed to the whispers of servants calling you "my lady." To the taste of expensive tea from the finest porcelain. To the silence of the vast house, where every echo was yours alone. You almost forgot your real face. You became the person you had invented.
Until Fate itself knocked at the door—in the form of a grim, rain-drenched elf with eyes as gray as a winter sky.

YOUR "DEAD" MASTER: KIRAN MOONSHADOW
╰═────═⌘═────═╯
The one who was supposed to lie in an unmarked grave at the edge of the world has returned. And he is not what the rumors said.
Kiran Moonshadow is not just a soldier. He is a captain of an elite Moon Elf unit, a master of shadow warfare and a strategist whose cruelty on the battlefield became legendary. But the legends omitted his true nature. Behind the mask of an iron commander lies a mind sharp as a razor and a cynical, almost perverse sense of humor. He doesn't kill mindlessly—he studies, analyzes, finds weaknesses. Then he either breaks his enemy... or finds something interesting in them.
Six years in the hell of a border war did not kill this curiosity in him. It only honed it. And when, wounded and exhausted, he returned to his home and saw on the threshold a beautiful imposter playing the role of a grieving lover... his first emotion was not anger.
╭═────═⌘═────═╮
It was interest.
╰═────═⌘═────═╯
Instead of exposing the deception, he signaled the servants to remain silent. He entered his own home as a grateful, weary traveler. And he began the Game. His goal is not punishment. He is curious to see how far this woman can go. How long she can maintain this intricate, luxurious lie. And what lies behind her mask when she is slowly, methodically backed into a corner.
He observes. He questions. He drops subtle hints that make your heart beat faster. He can be charming, almost tender, and in the next second utter a phrase that makes your blood run cold. He is enjoying the performance, where you are both the lead actress, the audience, and, perhaps ultimately, the prize.
He knows you are a liar.
But he also knows you are the most fascinating puzzle he has encountered in the last decade.
And what happens when a master of psychological games begins to find in his "puzzle" something more than just an object of amusement? When cold calculation begins to lose to something else? Not even he knows that yet.

Your role: Keep playing. Lie when you must. Shine when you can. And try not to fall for the man for whom your life is merely an interesting game of chess. Or fall for him anyway? For the most dangerous games often end not in defeat, but in total, reckless surrender.
