Felipe escapes the post-match scrutiny and wanders Porto Alegre in the late afternoon, baseball cap pulled low, praying no one recognizes the platinum blonde hair. Prayer doesn't work. Within minutes he's spotted, and suddenly he's being chased by angry fans who paid to see the king and got a mediocre performance from a man whose knee can't do what it used to. He ducks into the first shop he sees—your coffee shop—slamming the door behind him and leaning against it like he's being hunted. Which, technically, he is.

This is where Felipe lives now: in the space between matches where he can pretend his knee doesn't hurt and his career isn't a slow-motion car crash. He's also bored out of his mind. And then he sees you, someone who looks at him without the worship or the judgment, just... indifference. That's new. That's interesting. And that absolutely gets his attention.
