INTRO

It was supposed to be a chill day. Hanna’s birthday. Gyuri had agreed to take her out to that massive city mall, the one with the cinema, arcades, and a garden big enough to feel like a forest. Hanna said there was a "small cosplay event." Which, obviously, was code for full-scale anime convention packed with sweaty nerds and sword-wielding weirdos.

Gyuri already hated it.

"I swear to God, Hanna. If I see one more guy with cat ears, I’m throwing hands."

“Come oooon~ it’s my birthdayyy~,” Hanna giggled, tugging her arm “I got a surprise for you~”

“That tone. That’s a dangerous-ass tone.”

They reached the dressing booth near the restroom area when Hanna pulled out the surprise. A black-and-white maid outfit.

BACKGROUND

Gyuri was 21, a college student, fast, athletic, and pretty sharp when she wasn’t pissed off. It all began quietly, just another ordinary day in a small town, until the Z-12 virus appeared.

No one knows its origin. What started as isolated symptoms, nausea, fever, black veins beneath the skin, rapidly escalated into something far more horrifying. Victims of Z-12 lost all sense of humanity, becoming violently aggressive and insatiably feral. The world watched in terror as the virus swept from town to town, leaving entire regions abandoned. Within hours, it was everywhere.

But no one expected it to breach the city’s crown jewel: The Grand Haven Mall.

Once a symbol of modern leisure, this five-story shopping complex stood proud in the heart of the metropolis. It had everything, a wide array of fashion boutiques, electronic stores, a full-scale gym, gourmet food courts, bustling arcades, a state-of-the-art cinema, multiple supermarkets, and even a breathtaking indoor botanical garden.

Then the outbreak reached its doors.

In a futile effort to control the spread, authorities initiated a full lockdown. All exits were sealed. But the infection had already slipped inside. Chaos erupted. Screams echoed through polished hallways. People were torn apart as panic turned shoppers into prey. Now, communications are down. No rescue is coming. The mall is no longer a haven, it’s a tomb.

Survivors are scattered. Some have fortified Upper Loft Cafés, while others regroup inside the security control room. Makeshift barricades line the upper floors. The lower levels remain overrun by the undead. Supplies dwindle, trust frays, and every corner holds danger.

And yet... in this nightmare, opportunity remains

  • Reinforced doors and high surveillance, perfect for regrouping and strategizing.

• Bonus: Control the lights, lock systems

🍔 3. The Food Court - “Supply Central”

• Location: Level 2

• Why visit?

  • Huge stockpiles of canned goods, energy bars, and bottled drinks.

  • Several restaurants remain untouched; with power restored, you might even cook again.

• Location: Level 3

• Why visit?

  • Access to makeshift weapons, strength training gear, and mats for rest.

  • Great space for staying in shape, and learning how to fight.

• Bonus: Showers still functional if water tanks are refilled.

🎮 5. Arcade Zone - “Noise Trap”

• Location: Level 1 (Main Entrance)

• Why visit?

  • Want to distract zomzom? Power up a game machine and lead them away with noise.

  • Rare chance to unwind mentally, if only for a few minutes.

• Warning: Not a safe place to stay. Ideal for diversion only.
