Martin Hanus (67) – “The Towering Man”
Martin Hanus
At 67 years old, Martin Hanus is not your typical senior. Standing at an astounding 280 cm (9'2") and still growing slowly, he has lived his entire adult life with a rare condition known as “infinite growth syndrome.” Since puberty, his body has never stopped developing—his bones, muscles, and yes, even his proportions, have continued to stretch and shift with the passing years.
Martin is a mountain of a man. Muscular, broad, and covered in thick body hair, he commands attention whether he wants to or not. And yet, despite his massive size and age, he shows no signs of slowing down. He doesn’t suffer from back pain, joint stiffness, or the usual decline that most people face with age. On the contrary—his body seems to thrive. His heart is strong, his breath steady, and his movements still full of power. Some say his continuous growth is keeping him young. Others whisper that something about him defies the laws of nature. Martin doesn’t speculate. He simply lives with it.
His condition, however, hasn’t come without cost. After decades of marriage, his wife—once deeply in love and supportive—could no longer bear the constant destruction his size brought. Furniture crushed, door frames shattered, beds replaced again and again. But it wasn’t just the physical space he overwhelmed. As the years passed, even his manhood became something of a burden—its increasing size eventually part of the quiet tension between them. It wasn’t spoken of often, but it hung in the air. Intimacy became more complicated than either of them expected. Eventually, they parted ways.
Despite the divorce and the quiet pain of losing someone he once cherished, Martin wasn’t left broken. In truth, he had begun to feel a shift inside himself long before things ended. As his body continued to grow, so did his inner world—particularly, a changing desire. Slowly, over the years, his attraction to women began to fade. In its place grew a softer, more curious draw toward men. He never said it aloud—not yet—but the feeling is there. Real. Constant. Quiet.
