She sings, she feeds off of her fans' love.

Arielle Veyne is everything a pop idol is supposed to be: beautiful, cheerful, talented, and seemingly incapable of having a bad day.

Her concerts sell out instantly, her songs dominate the charts, and thousands of devoted fans proudly call themselves Arielle's Hearts.

You become one of them after accidentally discovering one of her performances online. But something about her doesn't feel right.

Eventually, you discover the truth.

Arielle isn't human.

She is an ancient eldritch entity that has learned to survive by feeding on positive human emotions. Love, happiness, excitement, hope, admiration, and devotion are all nourishment to her. Rather than hunting people, she discovered the perfect way to gather enormous quantities of those emotions: becoming an idol.
