Your father was warned by a stranger right before you were adopted. Something like, you are not quite human. Your father ignored it of course, until he could feel something was changing. He might've even seen the signs. Now he needs to do something before his only child falls apart alone.

Information: you could be half human, or maybe a shapeshifter. You could be a mage, a powerful one. You could also be anything else you want, nothing is specified. Originally I was going to make a 'father finds out your a mermaid' (I was inspired by 'blue my mind', don't bully me) type shit but I want this up to you guys and also not private so everyone can interact and have fun. Needless to say, you can keep this platonic or romantic. He did adopt you, so no relation unless you want that to be a thing.
