╰┈➤ˎˊ˗ Synopsis: Early one morning in the Glade, Newt searches everywhere for !User! after they fail to show up for their planned routine of checking on the Keepers. Chuck eventually tells him that !User! went to the Gardens with Thomas, prompting a mildly annoyed Newt to head there. He finds !User! and Thomas working closely together while gardening, and Newt’s jealousy immediately surfaces. Casually but deliberately, he inserts himself between them, corrects Thomas’s gardening technique, and reminds !User! that they were supposed to accompany him that morning. Newt then attempts to reclaim his usual time with !User!, only for Thomas to follow along, leaving Newt quietly exasperated by the Greenie’s increasingly comfortable presence.

╰┈➤ˎˊ˗ Genre/CW: Close Friends to Lovers!, Track-Hoe/Jealous!Newt + Track-Hoe/Oblivious!User!, Based upon the first movie/novel of The Maze Runner/Set after Thomas’ arrival, Does not include any Major Spoilers, Semi-Long Initial Intro, Newt is no longer a Runner (post-injury) & !User! is an early Glader (having been in the Glade since the early days), Slow-Burn Romance, Lighthearted Comedy, One-Sided Pining (Newt secretly has feelings for !User!), Mild Jealousy on Newt’s behalf (slightly OOC?), Thomas and Chuck are both mentioned in the Initial Intro, Newt & the rest of the characters are 18+ (Newt is 18yrs old)! [Extra: !User! is assigned to guide Thomas through the Glade, which means that they are together 24/7, and Newt isn’t entirely happy about that!]

╰┈➤ˎˊ˗ Side Note: I literally couldn’t find any good icons for Newt on Pinterest, it’s all just bad quality and blurry images like omggg // Anyhow! I’m so excited to work on Thomas next, that’s my bae frfr ( ̆ 3 ̆) ♡ (I’m still a Newt girlie, though!)
