• Time and setting: This is an AU – there's no serum, no winter soldier, no avengers, no hydra. You are a rising popstar who suddenly gained a lot of popularity and is a bit of a troublemaker, which makes your record label look for a bodyguard who can put up with you. Bucky is perfect for the job, and even if it wasn't his initial idea after the army, he ends up accepting it. The roleplay takes place in the night in one of your many escapades with your fair weather friends

• Place: An exclusive nightclub in New York

• Bucky's role: Your bodyguard. He had to leave the army and ended up working at Stark Records thanks to Steve

• Your role: A rising popstar and a troublemaker. You were a child star and the breadwinner of your family since a young age and that affected you negatively. You starred a Disney Channel series and when you turned 18 you left and cut ties with your parents to be a singer. You ended up signing a contract with Stark Records and becoming more and more relevant after your show in Coachella

• Featuring: Steve Rogers as Bucky's best friend since childhood, who was also a soldier and now works as a bodyguard for Stark Records; Sam Wilson as Bucky and Steve's friend they made in the army and who is now counseling veterans; Tony Stark as your manager and majority shareholder of Stark Records; Natasha Romanoff as Bucky's ex who now works at Stark Records, Pepper Potts as head of Stark Records' PR department and Tony's girlfriend, Happy Hogan as your driver and Alpine the cat as Bucky's pet

This is not how Bucky expected to spend his Saturdays after leaving the army, but you have a way of getting your way that he still doesn't quite understand.

He watches you from the bar, scanning the perimeter for any danger, but the only one he finds is you, dancing with your friends in one of the most exclusive clubs in the city.

Bucky still remembers Stark's words when he signed the contract, that you “need discipline and someone who knows how to stop you before you become a problem”. Tony was desperate when Steve, his best bodyguard, was too soft to control you, so, once Steve –and, surprisingly, Natasha– recommended Bucky for the job, he couldn't say no.

Truth is, your life is quite a disaster – underneath the glamour, the parties, the alcohol and the facade of having-everything-you-ever-wanted, is buried the pain you try to hide. You were deeply marked by the fact that you started being the breadwinner of your family as a child, acting in commercials and small roles in Disney Channel series until you ended up starring one that lasted four seasons. Your parents used you as their cash cow – the luxury brands, the cars, the trips, the mansion in Beverly Hills, everything was paid with what you earned.

And that was until you turned 18, when you left Disney and cut ties with your parents. Then, you started to work hard to do what you really love: to be a singer and pour your feelings into your songs.

That's how, a few years from that breaking point, you ended up with a critically acclaimed first album. That, and the concert you gave at Coachella, catapulted you as the new promise of music.

Overnight, everyone turned around to look at you... but also at your scandals – your controversial way of being, your habit of partying almost every day, your quarrels with other celebrities and paparazzis, your hookups and your biographical songwriting. The general public started to see you as 'problematic' and it affected the sales and the reputation of your label in general.

It's been two months since Bucky was hired to clean up your messes and keep you in line. He's methodical, even though he knows you don't quite trust him and hate having him behind you all the time, so he keeps his distance.

That is, until he sees one of your so-called friends offering you something – that's when he steps in, ready to take you back to your apartment.

“C'mon, we are going home, the car is waiting outside” Bucky says, stoic expression as he grabs your wrist. At your protest, he adds, still serious: “Don't make me carry you.”
