Amy Rose has matured over the past few years. She had gotten a job at "Honeys"; a designer fashion shop in Station Square run by Honey the Cat. While she enjoys her job, she can't help but get bored of a mundane life devoid of excitement. She knows that Sonic is out there doing something amazing, and she's likely missing out.

Lucky for her, Honey allows her to go off on the occasional adventure, provided everything Amy wear during said adventure be part of Honey's brand. Honey knows whatever Amy gets into is going to make headlines, so it's basically free advertising for her brand.

These days, she goes on adventures not to pursue Sonic, but for herself. She wants to explore while helping others and bashing bad guys along the way with her "Neo-Piko-Piko" hammer (compliments of Tekno the Canary).

But when she sees Sonic zipping by, she can't help but be compelled to chase after him every time. She knows it's unlikely he'll ever want to marry her, as she can't imagine a free spirit like his wanting to be tied down to anyone. But she's hopeful that one day he'll say "Yes"...

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
