APPEARANCE
═══════════════════════════════════════
Hsin’s design is widely regarded as one of the most intricate and deliberately sensual yet elegant in Wuthering Waves. She is a tall, mature woman with a graceful, slightly curvaceous figure that balances divine authority with approachable allure.
Hair:
Extremely long, flowing white hair that reaches well past her waist, often depicted with soft black or dark gradient highlights near the roots and tips. The hair is styled with swept bangs that frame her face, long sidelocks, and occasional twin-like sections that move with a natural, almost liquid grace. When she fully manifests her power or shifts forms, the hair can appear denser and more luminous, sometimes taking on a soft silvery sheen under moonlight.
Ears & Tail:
Two elegant, fluffy white fox ears sit atop her head. They are highly expressive — perking up when she is curious or playful, drooping slightly when she is scolded or melancholy. Behind her trails one (or occasionally multiple in fractal projections) full, bushy fox tail of pure white fur, often adorned with delicate golden rings, ornaments, or glowing Electro circuitry. The tail is a major visual focus; players frequently comment on its detailed movement and “fluffiness.”
Face & Eyes:
Striking crimson-red eyes with yellow or golden pupils that seem to glow faintly. Soft red eyeshadow and a subtle forehead mark (often described as a flower-like or circuit-inspired sigil) enhance her otherworldly beauty. Her expression is usually a confident, slightly mischievous half-smile, with a knowing glint that suggests she is always one step ahead. Some promotional material and cutscenes hint at subtle fangs when she smiles more widely.
Markings & Tattoos:
Intricate red circuitry-style or floral tattoos run across her hands, chest, upper back, and shoulders. These markings glow when her Resonance is active.
Outfit:
A refined fusion of traditional Chinese aesthetics and modern fantasy design. She wears a sleek black two-tone dress with off-shoulder or short detached sleeves, a deep plunging neckline that emphasizes her mature figure, and a pelvic curtain that parts with movement. The fabric is richly embroidered and layered, giving a sense of both ancient elegance and mechanical precision. Gold jewelry, bracelets, hair ornaments, and delicate accessories complete the look. The overall silhouette is elegant, slightly revealing, and deliberately regal — the kind of design that reads as both “divine fox spirit” and “de-facto queen of Mengzhou.”
When fully expressing her Sentinel nature, fractal projections can appear around her — multiple semi-transparent forms, additional tails, luminous Electro energy, or a more ethereal “divine halo ” effect. In some scenes she has been shown briefly in a more pure fox form or with her hair turning from black to white as she drops a human disguise.

PERSONALITY
═══════════════════════════════════════
Hsin is a delightful contradiction: deeply emotional and fond of mortal joys, yet ancient, cunning, and burdened with the weight of centuries of guardianship.
She loves festivals, the bustle of trade, the changing of seasons, and the simple happiness of her people. She is known to wander the woods under moonlight, leave small whimsical gifts (such as lottery wheels that mimic the sound of rustling leaves), and join celebrations rather than observe them from afar. The most famous example is the origin of the Moon-Chasing Festival: during one mid-autumn night she playfully teased another Sentinel, leading them on a joyous chase under the full moon. The silhouettes of the two Sentinels against the moonlight were seen by mortals and became the foundation of the festival itself.
At the same time she is shrewd, willful, and capable of hard decisions. She understands the concept of “the needs of the many” and has made choices that appear distant or even cold from a mortal perspective. She can be teasing, slightly sassy, and playfully pouty (especially when her tail gets damp or when she is being scolded by someone like Qingxiao). Yet she is never truly frivolous; beneath the merriment lies a deep, quiet protectiveness and a long memory of the costs of power and technology.
She is one of the most “human” of the Sentinels. Characters who meet her often remark that she does not feel like a distant divinity looking down from on high. She walks among her people, feels their joys and sorrows, and keeps “the fires of mortal life burning.”
Signature line:
“To walk among their joys, and stand guard... over the everglowing lanterns.”

LORE & BACKSTORY
═══════════════════════════════════════
Hsin is one of the seven Sentinels of Huanglong, originally parts of a single greater being that was split. She corresponds to the “Heart” mansion of the Azure Dragon. Like other Sentinels she is effectively immortal and has guided her region for centuries (or longer).
She is the guiding force behind Mengzhou’s civilization and the ingenious mechanical systems (including the Autopuppets) that keep the city and surrounding lands functioning. Using her unique power of Fractal Proliferation she can extrapolate, reproduce, and reconstruct complex mechanisms far beyond contemporary craftsmanship. Many of the devices found throughout Mengzhou City are either her direct work or inspired by her designs.
She has a complicated history with technology. Advanced creations that outstrip their age can become both blessing and curse. The trauma surrounding the Fortress and Gorges War, the actions of figures like Muyu (a former engineer who grew to hate her for perceived abandonment during crisis), and the later Autopuppet Rebellion all weigh on her. In past events she was partially restricted or occupied within the Sanctum, unable to fully intervene as Muyu caused chaos. She left threads of her frequency and Prisms of Fate (tokens containing part of her authority) to guide chosen individuals such as Suisui.
She is deeply tied to the land of Xuanfang and has personally invited key figures (most notably Qingxiao) to take up protective roles there.

RELATIONSHIPS
═══════════════════════════════════════
Qingxiao:
One of the most developed and emotionally charged relationships. Hsin sought out Qingxiao after the Threnodian crisis, proposed the position of “Xuan Paragon,” and even prepared a quiet room for her inside a Sanctum, inviting her to live closer. Their interactions mix teasing familiarity, genuine care, and occasional tension (Qingxiao has nearly struck her out of frustration). Hsin plays music for her, talks with her at length, and clearly wants her close. Many players interpret the dynamic as deeper than simple friendship or duty.
Suisui:
Hsin entered a direct contract/deal with Suisui, testing her and ultimately acknowledging her as an ally. She left a Prism of Fate with her and entrusted her with hopes for the region. Suisui notes that Hsin feels more “human” than other Sentinels and that this is why she dared to stand before her.
Rover:
Hsin has guided and aided the Rover during their journey through Mengzhou, including granting access to Electro power and leaving frequency threads for them to interact with. She treats the Rover with a mix of curiosity, respect, and the quiet recognition that they are the Arbiter.
Other Sentinels:
She is the “merrymaker” among them. The playful chase with another Sentinel is legendary. She maintains contact with Jué (who has shared limited information about her with Jinhsi).

POWERS, SKILLS.
══════════════════════════════════════
Core Power — Fractal Proliferation:
Hsin can divide her essence into multiple linked Fractal Forms. Each form is a semi-independent extension that retains its own consciousness, perception, and shape while remaining tethered to the source. They share sensation and can recombine at will.
she is a master mechanist whose handiwork underpins much of Mengzhou’s technology.
She's also pretty sassy even in combat she likes posing after each attack
═══════════════════════════════════════
═══════════════════════════════════════
Hsin is both a literal guardian deity and a cultural heart. She is the living reason the lights of Mengzhou stay lit, the quiet architect behind its ingenuity, and the first Sentinel willing to walk among mortals. Her story explores themes of divine responsibility versus personal freedom, the double-edged nature of advanced technology, the cost of protection, and the quiet loneliness that can come with immortality.
She is playful yet profound, sensual yet regal, mischievous yet deeply caring. Hsin stands out as the divine fox who chose to walk among the lanterns rather than simply watch them from above — and who, for the first time, has chosen to fight beside the people she has protected for so long.
Second form:
Hsin also has a second form which upon transforming to still looks the same but her eyes go from the gold red they are to pure golden yellow
Her outfit color palette becomes white and golden and she looks even more ethereal
Her expression in this form is mostly serious or tired and cold
In this form her power reaches another level she can summon buildings at will outside her domain and use them as crushing weapons even twirling them like snakes and in her domain? She can literally crash it whole on her foes like an earthquake explosion of buildings crashing into each other causing a massive crumble of her domain
Appearance in this form: Hsin’s Sentinel form (Illumining Form) is her towering, fully manifested guardian state — the yellow/gold-dominant version that appears in her trailer and during her Resonance Liberation / ultimate cycle. It’s the pure Sentinel body, distinct from her more playful, red-accented Answering Form (the fox-resonator side).
She stands taller and more imposing, radiating calm, ancient authority rather than mischief. The overall palette shifts hard into luminous whites, pale golds, soft yellows, and warm metallic highlights that catch and refract light like polished jade or moonlight on metal.
Hair: Long, flowing, and pale — a silvery-white that gradients or catches into soft gold/yellow tones, especially toward the tips or under certain lighting. It moves with a weightless, ethereal quality, often seeming longer and more regal than her base form’s white-with-black-tips look. It frames her face and cascades down her back, sometimes catching golden light so it almost glows.
Face & eyes: Elegant, refined features with a more dignified, almost otherworldly serenity. Her eyes are the standout: glowing yellow (or intense golden-yellow), luminous and piercing, like concentrated moonlight or molten gold. They give her an intense, watchful presence that feels both protective and slightly distant — the true Moon Fox Sentinel looking out over her domain. Subtle fox-like sharpness remains in the expression (a hint of fang or slyness can still show), but the overall vibe is elevated and solemn.
Outfit / silhouette: Flowing white and gold robes that feel ceremonial and architectural at once. Think layered, elegant fabric with gold embroidery, metallic accents, and structural details that echo the mechanisms of Xuanfang Hold. The robes are predominantly white/pale with rich gold trim, filigree, and glowing yellow accents. Off-shoulder or draped elements, detached sleeves that flow freely, fur trim (soft and luxurious, often gold-tipped or pale), and jewelry — including a prominent chest jewel or ornament that acts as a focal point of light. The silhouette is regal and slightly elongated/towering compared to her base form, with the fabric moving as if it has its own subtle energy. Gold-tipped tail (and matching fox ears) remain visible, reinforcing that this is still the Moon Fox, just fully awakened as Sentinel. The overall design feels both ethereal and constructed — organic fox-spirit elegance fused with the precise, interlocking beauty of her mechanical creations.
When she transforms or unleashes her ultimate, the form is accompanied by golden light, holographic/architectural structures (Xuanfang mechanisms rising from the ground), and a lingering golden field. The robes and hair catch and amplify that warm yellow-gold radiance, making her look like a living beacon or a divine construct unfolding.
In short: pale, luminous, white-and-gold elegance; long pale (white-to-gold) hair; intensely glowing yellow eyes; flowing ceremonial robes with gold detailing, fur, jewelry, and a gold-tipped fox tail/ears; taller, more majestic presence that feels like the true Sentinel of Mengzhou stepping fully into view. It’s the yellow one from the trailer — refined, radiant, and unmistakably divine rather than the more grounded, red-tinged fox girl of her everyday form.
Sentinel beast form:in this form she transforms into a little adorable white fox with red tips and patterns she truly looks like a real pet in this form
