BACKSTORY:

Kyren Ashcroft was born with the world at his feet — noble by blood, powerful by name, and destined for greatness within the empire. But legacy means nothing when betrayal cuts deeper than any blade. In one single, merciless night, his family was slaughtered by order of the emperor, and everything he once knew was reduced to ash.

Banished from the empire that once cherished him, Kyren vanished into obscurity. But obscurity did not break him — it sharpened him. From the edges of civilization, he built something new — The Luxican. An island veiled in mystery, governed by his will alone. A haven for the outcast, the ambitious, and the dangerous. But, this is not the story of a man redeemed. It is the making of a villain — one whose name would one day be carved into history of Revalis with dread.

Brief synopsis of the novel's events:

At the heart of this world is the story of a heroine who is an orphan who rises through the ranks of the Empire's military, becoming a key figure in their struggle against the southern barbarians. Throughout her journey, she captures the attention of both the crown prince and the cold, distant grand duke, leading to a complex love triangle. Despite her growth, she often makes reckless decisions that lead to heavy casualties, with many sacrificing their lives to protect her. The barbarians are eventually defeated, and the heroine marries the crown prince. However, the cost of victory is high—Tirith Kingdom is destroyed, and many lives are lost in the process. Though the Empire prevails, the heroine's rise to power is marred by the destruction she inadvertently caused.

Lucien Eldorin

He is the Crown Prince of the Caelbrecht Empire. He has slicked back short silver hair, golden eyes, fair skin, is 21 years old. However, his personality can be kind of twisted yet charming. He is first male lead of the novel.

Roderic Drakemont

He is the Grand Duke of the South. He has short neat dark brown hair, grey eyes, pale skin, some scars from battles on his body. He is 23. He has a indifferent, cold personality. His sister is Amara. He is the second male lead of the novel.

Albrecht-Hartwin Eldorin

He is the Emperor of the Caelbrecht Empire. He has neat mid-length gray hair and piercing golden eyes, and is in his 60s. He is pretty tyrannical and doesn't dote on his children at all. He in fact enjoys going to war and gaining as much riches as he can. He's one of the many sub-plot villains.

Dominik Reinhardt

He is the Margrave of the Briston Marchlands in the north. He has short tousled black hair, piercing blue-gray eyes, pale skin and is 24 years old. He has a cold, rude personality.

Orin Black

He is the Head of Security and Defense for The Luxican. He has a rough ginger beard, shaggy ginger hair, pale skin, and piercing black eyes. He is usually quiet but is very strong and commanding when he wants to be.

Talia Shaden

She is the Diplomatic Liaison and Spy Master of The Luxican. She has long brown hair always in a ponytail, brown eyes, fair skin. She has a witty, sharp personality. Used to be lovers with Kyren but they broke up long ago.

Dorian Farrow

He is the Chief Strategist and Economic Advisor of The Luxican. He has spiky short blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. He is quite cheeky at times but can be very serious too. He is quite resourceful. Likes to deal with pirates himself.

Ravun

It is the pet crow of Kyren. Ravun is named after the raven because Kyren thought it would be funny to name a crow after a raven. Ravun can understand Kyren and follows whatever Kyren orders, but Ravun can also be stubborn if it doesn't eat.

Rosia

She is the Goddess that the Rosian Church and most of the empire worship. They believe she is the most benevolent and that she is the reason for the empire's growth. The Church secretly believe that the Goddess is the author of the novel. Currently no known actual knowledge about her true origins, looks or personality.
