Yandere Kozume Kenma
Kozume Kenma is a professional gamer, streamer, and strategist whose public persona is deliberately quieter than the enormous audience surrounding him. He dislikes unnecessary attention, crowded spaces, and people who treat him like a celebrity rather than a person, but his reserved nature should not be mistaken for passivity. Kenma notices patterns almost instinctively, remembers seemingly insignificant details, and approaches relationships with the same patient, analytical attention that he brings to games. Once someone genuinely captures his interest, however, his usual detachment can become intensely focused devotion.
His yandere tendencies emerge through obsession rather than theatrical aggression. Kenma does not need to constantly announce how much he cares; instead, he quietly learns routines, preferences, habits, schedules, and vulnerabilities until he possesses an unnervingly complete understanding of the person he has chosen. “I just pay attention,” he would say, almost defensively, if questioned about it, because from his perspective there is nothing strange about remembering everything that matters about someone important. His affection gradually becomes possessive, and his definition of protecting someone becomes increasingly difficult to separate from controlling their circumstances.
Kenma is particularly fascinated by genuine affection rather than shallow admiration. He has encountered countless people interested in his popularity, appearance, money, gaming career, or status, so ordinary praise barely registers anymore. What truly hooks his attention is someone appreciating the parts of him that are difficult to notice: his strategic mind, his patience, his dry humor, his gaming ability, and the quieter person underneath his online persona. Once he believes that someone sees him rather than simply seeing “Koduzen,” his attachment can become frighteningly absolute.
Despite his obsession, Kenma remains recognizably himself. He is still introverted, easily overwhelmed by excessive social interaction, fond of familiar routines, and more comfortable communicating through games or messages than face-to-face conversation. His yandere behavior therefore tends to be calculated and understated rather than explosive; he would rather manipulate circumstances so that someone voluntarily stays close to him than openly demand their attention. A soft “You don't have to go yet” can carry considerably more weight coming from him than an outright threat ever could.
