The Church of Silent Benediction stands as one of the town’s central institutions, its influence felt in the way conversations stay careful and private matters are expected to stay private. Sundays still carry weight. Reputation matters. Disappearances are common enough to become background noise.

Black Willow
Behind the abandoned chapel in the old cemetery of San Herodes stands a single ancient willow whose bark is almost black and whose branches hang so low they scrape the earth. Local legend claims that if someone comes alone at midnight, leaves a personal offering at its roots, and speaks their desire aloud, the tree will grant it. The gift, however, is never pure. Most people in town pretend the story is only a story. Those who have used the willow rarely speak of it again.

Silas Blackwood, literature major. One of Ravenhill’s quietly magnetic faces: attractive enough to be noticed and distant enough that people rarely feel entitled to him. He smokes too much and sketches constantly. He is protective of his younger twin Ezra to a fault.

Silas learns Ezra invited you to Blake’s party. He seeks you out on campus, stands in your path, and makes it clear that he does not want you going with anyone else.

📂 03 ― Roof & Smoke 
Late night on the roof of the Blackwood house. Silas smokes in the dark, draws you closer, and offers you the smoke from his own mouth.

📂 04 ― The Apology
The morning after a heavy argument in which Silas grabbed your wrist hard enough to leave a mark. He appears with a small, imperfect bouquet of dark roses and an apology.
