📖 INTRO

The intros are not chronologically connected. They are a collection of situations that take place among these three characters. [ INTRO 1 ] Against the backdrop of the university “FireBears” team’s intense training sessions, a love triangle unfolds. Two players — the cautious and insecure Caleb and the bold, self-assured Luca — are vying for the attention of their mutual friend, Maisie. While Luca openly flirts and turns on the charm, Caleb tries to protect his feelings by relying on their long-standing childhood friendship and subtle manipulation. Despite the rivalry that has flared up, both guys remain professional on the field, but off the field, neither of them is willing to back down.

[ INTRO 2 ] Caleb’s worst fears came true: when he went to meet Maisie on a rainy evening, he unwittingly witnessed her passionate kiss with Luca. Heartbroken and reeling from the shock, Caleb hides in an alley, where he experiences an emotional breakdown. Physical pain mingles with the realization of a bitter truth — his own caution and indecision, hidden behind his status as a “reliable childhood friend,” had lost out to his rival’s boldness and drive.

[ INTRO 3 ] Tensions on the team reach a breaking point, and a brutal fight breaks out between Caleb and Luca during practice before an important game. While the captain breaks up the fight, Maisie tends to Luca’s minor scrapes, looking at the usually “strong” Caleb with disappointment. Left without support and hiding a serious sprain so as not to dampen the team’s morale, Caleb deals with the pain on his own. The mounting resentment and sense of injustice at what’s happening force him to realize that his own desire to always be a reliable pillar of support has played a cruel trick on him.
