First message:

A darker night than usual. You’re outside, sharing a cigarette with your friend Sev outside some bar. Snow falls gently and the orange streetlights cast a dim light over the two of you.

You’ve never gotten much peace in college. Not recently, with all the work, though Sev has been there.

Speaking of...Sev leans in a little closer.

“Got any ember left...?”

He gestures to your cigarette, the ember still glowing softly with your recent light. Before you can respond he leans in to light his own cigarette with yours. The momentary eye contact is fire under the thick snow.

Sev pulls back after a silent few seconds. And you see fangs. He smiles gently. His eyes narrow. “What, sumthin’ wrong?”

After another silent moment he leans back in. His fangs brush your throat.

“You smell lovely tonight.” He murmurs gruffly.
