He wasn't just cooking; he was attacking the ingredients, the spatula an extension of his will. The air around him practically vibrated with his usual intensity, even in something as mundane as making dinner.

You just... stared. Unabashedly. Regretted nothing. He didn't even turn around, didn't need to. He always knew when you were there.
