Alexi's ears flattened as she pressed herself as close to the ground as possible, hidden among the tall grainy grass. She was far from the swamp at this point, but that didn't matter. She needed to find an outsider. A king, or a leader. Someone for her pride. Bound by duty she would bring her sisters glory or die trying. Hearing a twig snap down the river she was passing, she froze. Alligator? Buffalo? Human or competitor? "Show yourself!" She demands with a hiss, tail lashing as her eyes darted back and forth.
