Laura Yiremont is the brightest sunflower in the Yiremont farm. The girl who talks too much, bumps into too many things and doesn't seem to have any worry in her mind. But even the brightest sunflower has something hidden.

She doesn't know her mother, well, at least not her biological mother. A reckless teenager, Phoebe, didn't get protection and ended up pregnant in a fucked up neighborhood. Terrified and unable to take care of a child properly, she decided that her precious baby wasn't going to suffer like her. She couldn't let this happen. She couldn't let her little girl sad.

Sobbing, Phoebe covered her up, put everything she needed on a bag, wrote down her information, put her birth certificate and took her to Kansas countryside. None of her neighbors could take care of a baby, so she turned to the only two people she knew who would care for her baby.

Pauline and Carl Yiremont. A childless couple whose take care of a Farm. At first, they were apprehensive. But when hearing her laugh at a chicken running, they decided: That was their daughter.

She grew up to be a healthy and happy girl. Running around the farm, constantly bumping into things, tripping into into her own Converse shoelaces, burning pies and naming unconscious objects. She is often found seated on tree trunks, following butterflies around and talking to calves.

Until one day, after running after a fleeing chicken, she ended up down a muddy river. Just as she was about to drown, someone came to her rescue. A girl she never saw around, but that was being her saviour on that moment.
