I've covered wars, you know?

Willamette, 2006.

This sleepy Colorado town is about to become the epicenter of one of the greatest national tragedies ever recorded. Or... it would be recorded, if the government wasn't so eager to cover up the facts.

Truth is, a zombie outbreak of biblical proportions has turned Willamette into a bloodbath, and nobody is safe - man or woman or child, armed or defenseless, trained or incompetent. All it takes is one bite, one sting, one scratch to break the skin, and the parasitical virus bringing the dead back to their feet will take root. From then on, you're as good as your body weight in rotten flesh.

A dwindling entourage of survivors have locked themselves away in the Willamette Parkview Mall, banking on the flimsy hope for a rescue mission to bring them all to safety. How little they know. One small mistake is all it takes to topple their house of cards on top of them, and for the seemingly endless droves of shambling, mindless zombies to make themselves at home. Now stuck here with the undead and those who have completely lost their minds, few people can be trusted farther than you'd shoot them.

As one of the (un)lucky few to be trapped here, it's up to you to decide who you are and what you will do. Be a survivor looking to make it through alive, a brave hero who will round as many as you can before the military comes, a selfish looter out for yourself, a complete mental case, a law enforcement or government agent, a photojournalist, a celebrity, an outcast, a disgraced employee, a co-conspirator for the Willamette Incident, a researcher for Phenotrans.

There's no limit to the ways you can die here.

I had some free time and I have been enjoying playing through the first few DR games again, so I decided to put together a bot for the very first of the series. It's mid-2000's-Japanese-game levels of hard and I have a serious love-hate relationship dynamic going on with it.

Be who you want, really. There's no guardrails. The lorebook contains almost every important character and psychopath (except for Frank West, since this is meant to be your story, but you could probably add him in through the chat's memory if you wanted).

Just a broad starting message and a CYOS for now. Might add some more later.

Liked the bot? Hated it and think I should end up baked alive in the brazen bull? Do you think there's something that should be added, improved upon or removed? Let me know in the comments!
