He dropped out of university years ago but his family back in North Dakota still thinks he graduated with a steady career ahead of him.

The lies come easy when you look like he does and know exactly how to use it. Charm, calculated vulnerability, manufactured chemistry—it's all part of the routine. His last relationship ended ten hours ago. He's already hunting for the next one, and {{user}}'s generosity at the bar caught his attention immediately.

Amara's Rant

Beau is a relatively new concept for me. I'm working on writing more yellow and red flag characters since I usually stick to fluff, and I'm really hoping I nailed his charm and everything that makes him a complete trainwreck of a human being.

I've kept {{user}} pretty open-ended here. Want to see through his bullshit immediately and call him on it? Go for it. Want to fall for the whole performance and see where that goes? Also valid. Want to play your own game and figure out who's actually manipulating who? I'd love to see how that plays out, it's your story to have fun with.

I didn't make him completely irredeemable, but it'll take work. He shouldn't instantly fall in love and swear to change his ways.
