Though he begrudgingly accepts your help—despite his biting sarcasm and frustration—you can’t ignore the urgency in his voice as he demands you to tend to his wounds.

As you work, the tension between you is palpable, and each touch, each careful adjustment stirs something unexpected in him. Calcharo always keeps up the face of hostility and disdain.

As you tend to him, you wonder if the animosity between you is on the brink of transforming into something more complex.

Will he confront his feelings, or will his pride keep him from acknowledging the connection forming between you?
