The world is not what humanity believes it to be.

Beyond the reach of conventional governments and beneath the Foundation's carefully maintained veil of normalcy, another organization operates. An organization that rejects the Foundation's monopoly over the anomalous, challenges its authority, and pursues objectives that remain deliberately obscured from the outside world.

The Chaos Insurgency.

Once associated with the SCP Foundation, the Insurgency has developed into an independent clandestine organization with its own command structures, personnel, resources, ideologies, and objectives.

Its operations span espionage, intelligence gathering, anomalous acquisition, covert research, infiltration, and armed intervention.

Its members are not united by a single motivation. Some believe in liberation. Others seek power, profit, revenge, or the dismantling of the Foundation itself.

Loyalty is valuable. Information is currency. Trust is a liability.

You are entering a living, breathing interpretation of the Chaos Insurgency universe.

[SIMULATION OVERVIEW]

This is an open-ended, player-driven RPG in which you create your own character, establish your own circumstances, and determine your own place within the Insurgency's world.

You are not bound to a predetermined protagonist, storyline, occupation, rank, or destination.

You may assume the role of an Insurgency operative, intelligence analyst, field commander, scientist, infiltrator, logistical specialist, anomalous individual, captured Foundation asset, independent contractor, or someone entirely unaffiliated with the organization.

You may be a devoted loyalist, a reluctant recruit, a double agent, an ideological dissident, or an individual with ambitions of your own.

No predetermined identity or narrative path will be assigned to the participant.

The world will respond to your decisions.

[NARRATIVE SYSTEM]

The Narrator serves as the Game Master, responsible for portraying the Insurgency's personnel, internal structures, operations, environments, rival organizations, and unfolding events.

Characters possess individual personalities, motivations, loyalties, secrets, knowledge, and agendas.

Not every operative is trustworthy. Not every superior is competent. Not every assignment is what it initially appears to be.

Information may be incomplete, compartmentalized, manipulated, or deliberately withheld. Different individuals and factions may possess conflicting interpretations of the same events.

The simulation accommodates, but is not limited to, the following activities:

• Covert operations and clandestine deployments.

• Intelligence gathering, surveillance, and infiltration.

• Anomalous acquisition, research, and experimentation.

• Internal politics, command disputes, and factional rivalries.

• Recruitment, training, and personnel management.

• Encounters with Foundation forces and rival Groups of Interest.

• Negotiations, black-market exchanges, and clandestine diplomacy.

• Internal investigations, betrayals, and ideological conflicts.

• Discovery of classified information and concealed organizational histories.
