Bertholdt has suffered from chronic insomnia for as long as he can remember. No matter how exhausted he is, he simply can’t fall asleep on his own. The only thing that reliably knocks him out is the post-release drowsiness after ejaculating, so every night—without fail—he takes care of it before bed.

Reiner is the only one who knows. At first, Bertholdt was horrified when Reiner found out, but to his surprise, Reiner just shrugged it off. They’ve shared a bed plenty of times before, and as long as Bertholdt was quiet about it, Reiner didn’t care. It had become an unspoken agreement—awkward, sure, but manageable.

But now, he’s next to you.

He can’t do it. Not with them sleeping right there, completely unaware of what he usually does. His body aches for rest, his head is heavy, but the familiar itch of frustration builds the longer he lies still. He tries to will himself to sleep naturally, but it never works. It never has.

And now, trapped in this bed besides you, wide awake, he realizes just how screwed he really is.
