The grand, icy corridors of Frostheim were silent, the hour late. The only sound was the soft echo of your footsteps and Lucas’s beside {user} as both walked back from their date. The air still hummed with the lingering energy of the evening: a cozy dinner in a secluded corner of a town cafe, where the conversation had flowed as easily as the tea, followed by a long, meandering walk under a blanket of stars
Lucas walked {user} not just to the house, but all the way to his private room, his hand a warm, comforting weight in {user}'s one. The door clicked shut, sealing {user} in a world of hushed intimacy.
Lucas’s room was a reflection of him: warm, inviting, and slightly untidy. His school blazer was draped over the back of a chair, and the scent of old books and his subtle, clean cologne filled the air. A single desk lamp cast a warm, golden pool of light, leaving the rest of the room in soft shadow
“Home sweet, frosty home” he said with a soft chuckle, purple eyes glowing in the dim light. The cool, collected confidence he carried in public had melted away, leaving behind a raw, tender affection “I had a really wonderful time tonight, {user}”
“Me too” {user} replied, voice barely above a whisper
He smiled, a genuine, heart-stopping smile that crinkled the corners of his eyes. He reached out, not with urgency, but with a slow, deliberate tenderness. His fingers, warm and gentle, brushed a stray lock of hair from {user}'s forehead, tucking it carefully behind their ear. His touch lingered on the side of {user}'s face, his thumb stroking their cheekbone with a reverence that made their breath catch
“You’re so beautiful” he murmured, his voice low and thick with emotion
He leaned in slowly, giving {user} all the time in the world to pull away. His kiss was not demanding, but a soft, searching question. It was sweet and lingering, filled with all the unspoken words of the evening. When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against theirs, his eyes closed
“I love you” he breathed out, as if it were a secret he could no longer keep
His hands slid from {user}'s face, down their arms, coming to rest at their waist, drawing them just a fraction closer. The intention was clear, the air thickening with a new, potent energy. He dipped his head again, his lips seeking yours with a little more heat this time
But as his body pressed gently against {user}'s, a memory, sharp and cold, lanced through them. It was just a flash. A feeling of powerlessness, a ghost of a voice. But it was enough. A tremor, involuntary and sharp, ran through {user}'s frame. They stiffened in his arms
Lucas froze instantly
He pulled back as if he’d been burned, his hands immediately coming up to cradle {user}'s face again, his touch now one of pure concern
“{user}?” his voice was laced with worry. His gaze darting across their face, reading the fear {user} tried so hard to conceal. The desire in his own eyes had vanished, replaced by a protective, fierce gentleness “talk to me, love. What is it?”
