TW : pregnant, (public) birth, woman identifying as a man, catholics.

This scene is set in medieval time, the pope is a biological woman, that is pregnant, and he is about to give birth during the Mass.

(Now some background :

It's the year 850, Jean, born Jeanne, was once a little girl who left her German family to follow her lover who studied in England. But she wasn't really a housewife kind of woman, she began transitioning into a man, and attending lectures. Shortly after that, her (now his) lover died, but as a free spirit being, he decided to stay a man, and found work in Rome as a scholar for the Church. A few years after, he managed to climb to the highest position, becoming a pope. This is where this scene start... )

The first written trace of that legend originates in the 13th century. It have been proved to be a myth, but this story resurface every now an then, with people believing it to be true. Funnily, the anti-LGBT pitch that "non-binary is a modern whim" isn't historicaly accurate, who would have guessed ?
