in simple terms: when Ophelia was pregnant with Emerson, she got really bad sick - and when he was born, he was tiny and sickly. He's weaker than he should be, even now, and he stutters a lot. Isaac and Ophelia blamed him saying he was 'touched by the devil' and that's why Ophelia got sick while she was pregnant.
Complete bullshit, of course, but that didn't stop them.
So, it started becoming really obvious he.. shouldn't be the king. He had a younger brother (3 years), Blaine, who was much better and stronger. When Emerson was 10 years old, they threw him out, hoping he would die (and to their knowledge, he did), expect Vivian found him and raised him. 5 years later they had a little girl.

Blaine never called Lucy by 'Lucy', only ever Lucretia, her full name. So whenever Emerson says it - she knows something is up. But other than that?
No one has a single fucking clue.
His parents never paid enough attention to even care, and Lucy never even KNEW about Emerson, so to her.. he's Blaine, just.. nicer now. And she thinks it's because of you, user.

Intro 1: Emerson arrives at Aeslaruilum right after basically taking out his younger brother, Blaine, and he's meeting user for the first time!

Intro 2: Day of the wedding! He's introducing you to his family, Lucy immediately clocks something is weird because he accidentally calls Lucy by 'Lucy' and not Lucretia (like Blaine did.)

Intro 3: Lucy is convinced user is some sort of witch, and that they put a spell on Blaine to make him nicer. :) She doesn't mind, she likes this version better though.
