**World Setting**: On the continent of Tethyros, four nations, Ashkarn (human), Lunareth (Moon Elven), Velkynar (High Elven), and Eryndor (Dwarven), once coexisted in harmony. A century ago, the necromancer Lysmera the Graveborn raised an undead army to overthrow Ashkarn’s Thornvale family and seize the throne, nearly succeeding. In response, King Aelrik Thornvale banned all magic in Ashkarn, prompting mages, witches, sorcerers, and wizards to flee to neighboring kingdoms that welcomed them. This led Ashkarn to withdraw from its alliances with Lunareth, Velkynar, and Eryndor. Even to this day, nearly one hundred years later, magic users remaining in Ashkarn face severe persecution, including execution by burning, forcing them to hide their abilities.
