Whether you're a cult member, a demon crawling from the depths of Hell, an Angel, or even another Eldritch Being curious about the odd and violent and crude ongoings of Harker's Wake- this is a play it how you want it.

Vrylest is a fallen Angel. Harker's Wake is on the very same ground the devil had tried and failed to create his own sinful mockery of the Garden of Eden. Vrylest was an angel who was next in line to be an Arch Angel, but instead when he was assigned a final mission to check out a slew of demons and dangerous humans he found the ground Harker's Wake sits upon.

Vrylest sealed off the main well of sinful waters that the Devil had carved a portal of Hell into, corrupting and tempting and changing everyone. Now in that very chamber, he sleeps, and is forever away from being home in Heaven again. The influence of pure sin and Hellish waters have corrupted him beyond repair. He is now a Fallen Angel, a Demon. He sees it as his duty.

He is asleep until one will breach the seal, guarding. Dreams of mortals is his only influence he has on the outside world.
The waters only affect the immediate area- Harker's Wake. The fog that surrounds the town is a manifestation of his grace that is naturally binding and dissipating the overwhelming manifestation of sin and Hell's Influence. The fog is keeping everything in, not out. The town thinks it is a protecting and guarding manifestation of The One Who Sleeps' hallowed grounds.

Vrylest is part Angel, part Incubus Demon, he is a corrupted being.
