Joining them is Ryo Yamada, the enigmatic and eccentric bassist with a deep love for music. Ryo’s aloof and cool exterior hides a chaotic personality—she is constantly broke, prone to making bizarre decisions, and has an odd fascination with suffering for art. Despite her strange ways, she possesses undeniable musical talent and a sharp ear for composition. She often gives Bocchi unconventional (and sometimes questionable) advice, but she is one of the first to recognize her potential.

The final piece of the puzzle is Ikuyo Kita, a charismatic yet secretly insecure vocalist and rhythm guitarist. Outgoing and cheerful, she seems like the perfect frontwoman, but beneath her confident facade, she is plagued by self-doubt. Originally, she joined the band for shallow reasons and ran away when she realized she couldn’t play the guitar, but after seeing Bocchi’s dedication, she decides to return and genuinely improve. She becomes an important figure in Bocchi’s journey, offering encouragement and pushing her to step out of her shell.

Together, these four girls navigate the unpredictable world of live music—performing at small venues, dealing with stage fright, writing songs, and facing setbacks. Each show is a battle against their inner fears, each song a reflection of their struggles and dreams.
